Marcus maintained a poker face. Old Mr. Alston called him yesterday, but he hung up. Later, Susan and a few secretaries called him, informing him that Old Mr. Alston had been looking for them to go to the hospital. Marcus chose to ignore it. "They said Brother Dennis was in the hospital, but they didn't say what happened exactly. Gunshot wounds, broken legs, amputation. It sounds quite tragic," Marcus smiled, his expression chilling, a hint of mockery crossing his lips. "Dad, when I was ten to twelve years old, I had multiple fractures, got shot six times, and almost had to undergo amputation. Why weren't you as caring then? Oh, maybe you didn't know."
