CHAPTER 7- BETHANY It had been a day since the incident had taken place. I couldn't help but ponder over the what-ifs. What if the stranger had not shown up? Today, being Sunday, I preferred to stay indoors and take care of myself and my apartment. I gently placed my head on my belly, feeling a sense of comfort and warmth as I confirmed that I was indeed pregnant. Although my stomach was still flat, I could sense that something was growing inside me, and my heart was filled with an inexplicable joy.
