Chapter 32 Keeping Secrets

Hartley knew that something was wrong, but he could not help his son, in any way possible. He may have supernatural abilities, but Derreck had to pull through on his own. This was an internal battle between the will to live and succumbing to his injuries. Hartley and Joshua were in the waiting room, sitting on pins and needles. Joshua was angry, frustrated, confused and in pain. The more he thought of Derreck fighting for his life, the more everything within him began shifting.
