Chapter 3 We get married

Ciara's p.o.v ~flash back~ "ohh my God Ciara the moment i heard the news,i came straight here...am so sorry for your loss sweetie." Clare my best friend said while settling down on my bed where she found me sitted. "am glad you are here cause i had no shoulder to cry on...am really glad you came to be here with me...it means a lot." I told her. "come on of course i had to...by the way there are a lot of people down stairs and in those people there's some cute face i noticed." she said. "Clare come on...what do you mean??" I asked her. "Am talking about Carlton...he's here." she said while grinning. "for real!!!? you gotta be kidding me...i didn't leave him there when I l came in my room!" I told her. "well he's here now...jeez look at your face haha you are turning red!! I l guess i should call him in here so that you get to know about each other more." she said. "noo are you crazy!!!?? please don't call him...i know the reason he's here is because he and dad were business partners for long and he came to definitely pay his last respect but not for my case...so let's leave it like that."I told her. "okay maybe this is not the right time for you guys to have a talk but don't deny it cause you and i know how he used to look at you whenever he came here and you also looked at him with those sexy eyes...there's no doubt that you guys are into each other." Clare said. " okay Whatever but there's too much going on right now." I said and she pulled me in a hug. "I got you sweetie...by the way how did it happen?? when i first heard the news i couldn't believe it cause a few days ago they were all here living their lives." she asked. "uhm it's really confusing but they were shot dead on their way back home last night and according to the cameras,it is believed that those men who shot them were working for some of my dad's business rival...and right now the police they're trying to track them down but i don't really care about them cause whether they get them or not,my parents are no more.(sniffs)" i told her. "ohh sweetie i can understand...and am so sorry for your loss once again." she said while hugging me so tight. I really don't know how life is going to treat me cause all i had in my life,were my parents and now that they're gone...am all alone and i don't know where to start from. I was still hugging Clare and crying when we heard a knock on the door. "who could it be??" Clare asked. "well i don't know but help me and go check it out cause for me i don't want to see anyone right now." i told her. She got up and opened the door. "is Ciara in??" i heard a man's voice which was familiar. "yes she is inside." Clare replied him. "okay,please i would like to talk to her if she doesn't mind." he said. Clare looked at me and i signalled her not to allow him inside but that fool betrayed me like always. "yah sure...please come in." she opened the door wide and she stepped aside. It was none other than Carlton...i have a crush on him from way back and whenever he is around me,i feel uncomfortable and i wonder why he is here in the first place. "uhm guys i think i should go and check on something downstairs...Ciara see you later." Clare said. "no no no...please stay...i would like both of you to hear what i have to say." Carlton said. "ohhh!! i have no problem with staying then let's hear what you have to say."Clare told him. "take a seat please...you don't have to keep standing." i told him then he sat down. "well first of all...Ciara am so sorry about your loss and I have lost one of my greatest mentor in my life and i dont think i will ever get anyone like him in my life again...your dad was so inspiring in so many ways and may His soul rest in peace...and i pray we get those bastards who did this." he said. "yah i hope so too." i replied. "okay the main reason why i came here is that there are some things i wanted you to know before you hear them from anyone else...uhm your dad had a huge loan in the bank and he had offered this house as collateral security so since he's dead,they are definitely taking the house...." he was still talking then interrupted him "whattt!!!!??? can't they give us some time and we settle the loan?? cause this is my home...i can't just let it go like that..nooo." i yelled at him. "Ciara calm down please...it's not his fault...he's just here to deliver the information so don't shout at him." Clare said and she was right. "am sorry for shouting at you...it's just that this is too much already." i said. "yah I m can't blame you...but that aside,another issue is about your dad's company." he said. "what about it??? you sounded serious and i am now more than worried." i asked him "well the board wants to withdraw their shares and you exactly know what will happen when they do that....the company will be no more and yet your dad put in alot of time and money to build it to that state." he explained. "ohhh my God all this can't be happening right now!!!! am literally going to collapse cause this is really too much for me." i stood up from the bed and started pacing back and forth. "uhm mr.Carlton do you have any solution at hand cause Ciara is now freaking out...please help us." Clare asked him. "yes i do have a plan...according to these guys,they said they're basically withdrawing their shares cause no one is going to be there to run the company like your dad and that you don't look to be responsible....so i was thinking that we get married so that they see you as a responsible person and you run your father's company." he said and i stood in one place. Did he just say getting married!!! is he for real!!!??...of all solutions,why did he think of marriage!!?? he's crazy.
