Maddy showed up in Luke's office wearing a short red and white dress. She put in her contacts and applied more makeup than normal in an attempt to look at least somewhat sexy. She wore a pair of white pumps and an imitation red Birkin handbag. His office was in a rundown shopping center on the other side of town. She pulled open the door and walked in expecting to be met by a receptionist. Instead, a man of about fifty got up and came around the desk to greet Maddy. He was tall with broad shoulders and a barrel chest. His graying hair was short on the sides and a crew cut on top. He locked the door and put up a 'closed' sign, then leaned against the edge of his desk and smiled at her.
