Chapter 64 The Truth

“Sam” what all the shouting. Sam raise his head up, he looks at his mom, he has lost his voice, the shock has collapsed him on the floor, he buried his head down. “Just, take me” Sam muttered. “Leave her alone”, “I don't understand, what are you saying” she comes close to him. “Don't close near me”, Sam adjust himself, “don't touch me”, “leave charitabel out of this” Sam manages to get his voice, “it is me you need, leave her alone” he shouted. “Sam, I don't understand you, charitabel, what happened” she tries to walk in, Sam gave her stop sign. “Stop pretending, you don't know what I am saying”. Mrs. Anita fix her eyes on Sam, she wasn't sure how far what to say, “Mom, how could you” Sam cries, “what do you stand to gain”, “killing your son, destroying his happiness” he continues? “Sam, I don't know what you are talking about” she breaks down. “You killed him, you killed Dad too” he muttered. “Sam” Mrs. Anita burst into tears. “You are a monster” he yelled. “If you hurt christabel, I am not going to forgive you” Sam laughs. “There is no need, you're going to kill me anyway” he lies on floor. Mrs. Anita crawls to Sam, “I am sorry” she reaches out to him. “Stay away from me” Sam tries getting up, he heard the sound of cars in their compound. He stands, he runs out of the room. “Samuel” Anita screamed. “Son” she muttered. Samuel tremble back, he saw group of people running inside. He runs back, “stop”one of them shot the jug close to him. He turns slowly, what is the need, I am going to die anyway. He walks closer to them. They circle him. he took a deep breath, he turns around to run. “Bang” police siren could be heard. Some private cars were following from behind. They opened the gate, “how did they get pass the security lock” the man turns to Mr. Jing. “That is far too easy for the zebra” Mr. Jing replied. “Sam, I hope he fine” the cars moves at speed. They drove inside. They saw the cars packed out. The police set a defense line. A microphone was brought out. “This is the police, you are surrounded, come out with your hands up where I can see them” there were no movement inside. The police repeated the statement. Everything seems to be moving in slow motion. Mr. Jing open his door, he opens the door for Mr. Charles, Mr. Charles came out, he looks at his house, it as turned into a mess, he walked to the other vehicle behind them, he opens it. “Don't shoot” somebody screamed inside the house. The police point their guns at the entrance. Slowly, some men came out with their guns high, the rest came out holding Mrs. Anita and sam, drop your weapons the police orders, they pinned Sam head close to the gun, “Last warning drop your weapons now the policemen shouted”. The man holding Sam was not going to yield in, he places his hands, close to the trigger. Mrs. Anita was released. It seems their main focus was Sam. They slow drop their weapons, lift their hands high, Sam slowly walks to the police direction. One of the men quickly brought out the gun from his back, he aimed for Sam, when the police fired him, the bullet hit Sam on the hands, he fell to the ground. The police quickly surrounding the remaining four men, they remove their face, they are going to identify them each. Mr. Charles runs to Sam, he was barely breathing, “stay with me sam, please stay with me” the touches Sam face, Sam could see doubles, he was at the blink of death, he thought, so this how death feels like, “Sam” he heard, someone shouting, that voice is, he tries to remember, “dad” he shouted, but it came out like a whisper. “I am dying” he said. Mr. Charles holds Sam on the shoulder, he tightens his hands, “stay with me son” he looks at Mrs. Anita with sight that kills. Mr. Jing did the local method on Sam, “we can't wait for ambulance, he is losing blood” he told Mr. Charles waiting for a go-ahead. Mr Charles finally stood up. He gave Sam some painkiller, he extracts the bullet out, he pour alcohol on the injury. Sam could still feel the pain. He has gain conscious, he could hear what was going on, Mr. Jing received a phone call, “yes, she is safe” okay, “Mr. Smith, your daughter is safe he shouted”. Mr. Smith, Sam muttered. He tries to get up, but he was still too weak, “she is safe” Jing squats to tell Sam. Sam manages to pull a smile, “it is over” he smiled more.
