Chapter 14 Chapter Fourteen

Amara had been smiling like a fool for quite a while now, and it only got worse as tears kept streaming down her face while she sliced a mountain of red and green chili peppers. She was being extra careful holding the knife, her eyes locked on the peppers which were barely an inch away from her face. Her focus was so intense on what she was cutting that she didn't even notice the other helpers watching her in the kitchen.
