Kimberley’s POV I could feel the weight of impending war before she even spoke. The soft sound of footsteps echoed in the hallway, familiar, but tainted with something darker. I hadn’t seen Emily, not since the whole mess of her killing her boyfriend . And now, as I heard the sound of the door creaking open behind me, I could already sense something had shifted.
