Alexander’s POV The lingering tension from Damon’s warning stayed with me, festering like an open wound. No matter how hard I tried to shake it off, his words echoed in the back of my mind. “You’ll regret this,” he had said. And I could feel the weight of it. Maybe I wasn’t blind, but I had to admit, there was something unsettling about the whole situation. Damon’s warning hadn’t come out of nowhere, had it?
