Next morning, sun streamed through windows across the house to warm with its bright shine. There, an invitation through newly freshly brewed coffee spread around the fragrance as Sabrina padded silently into the living room while her hand lingered in the spot near her neck where Benedict had kissed it overnight. There stood her little son Saben giggling as Wendy was playing around him on the rug; she was chasing him all over around there pretending to be a lion. The front door opened, and Teresa, Benedict's mother, strode in, carrying a basket of freshly baked pastries. Her sharp eyes immediately took in the scene: Saben laughing, Wendy crawling on all fours, and Sabrina with a blush that seemed a little too deep for a casual morning.
“Oh, there’s my little angel!” Teresa exclaimed, placing the basket down and swooping in to kiss Saben on the forehead. “You’re growing so fast, my darling.” Then her eyes flicked toward the hallway, where Benedict emerged, still tugging on his shirt and looking slightly disheveled. Teresa's perfectly arched brows shot up, and a wicked grin spread across her face.
