Chapter 8

Hayley's Point Of View. After returning to New Orleans, I tried hard to wrap my thoughts around so many things. My head ached slightly from the various activities I've been involved in, particularly the continuous meetings with boards and committees. Dunking wearily into my luxurious sofa, I placed my luggage on the other end and grabbed my smartphone, attempting to sort through the countless text messages that kept coming up on my phone's screen.
