Chapter 5 Day Eight: Torn Between The Alpha's

ARIA POV Dear dairy, it's day Eight, and I didn’t sleep much that night. Every time I closed my eyes, I felt Asher’s gentle lips on mine, his warmth wrapping around me like a safe embrace. But then Aiden’s fierce kiss would crash through my mind, his possessive growl echoing in my ears. My heart was a tangled mess. How could I feel anything for Aiden? He hated me. He loves humiliating me. He made my life a living hell. And yet... the way he kissed me... the way he claimed me... I shivered slightly beneath my shabby worn out bedsheet, heat pooling in my stomach. No one had ever looked at me the way he did, like I belonged to him. Like I mattered. But Asher... sweet, gentle Asher. He was the only one who showed me kindness, the only one who looked at me like I was more than just a maid. He made me feel safe, and cherished. How could I betray him by feeling anything for his brother? I wanted to scream, to tear my heart out just to make the confusion stop. How could I be so weak? So pathetic? I was falling for them. Both of them. And it was tearing me apart. I was nothing. A maid. A weak wolf. I wasn’t allowed to want things... to feel things. Especially not for the Alphas. It was forbidden, and dangerous. But my heart wouldn’t listen. It kept racing every time they were near, kept aching every time they looked at me. I hugged my knees to my chest, burying my face as the tears came. I was trapped. Caught between two brothers, two Alphas, and the forbidden feelings that were tearing me apart. --- I avoided Asher, and Aiden for days, keeping my head down, and my heart guarded. I couldn’t trust myself around them. Not when my emotions were so raw, so confusing. But I couldn’t avoid them forever. At first, they were busy with the pack’s daily schedule, and I was happy until Alpha Asher cornered me in the kitchen, his eyes worried. “You’ve been avoiding me.” He said, and I looked away, my chest tightening at his words. “I... I’ve been busy.” His hand caught mine, his fingers was warm, and gentle. “You’re lying.” His voice was soft, filled with concern. “Did I... did I do something wrong?” My heart broke at the pain in his eyes. “No... no, it’s not you... it’s...” I stuttered before his thumb brushed my knuckles, his touch was tender. “Then why won’t you look at me?” I bit my lip, my eyes stinging with tears. How could I tell him? How could I confess that his brother kissed me? That I was falling for both of them? What kind of game is the moon goddess playing out with my already miserable life?. Slowly, his fingers tilted my chin up, his eyes searching mine. “I meant what I said, Aria. You’re special... to me.” I choked back a sob, my heart shattering more. “You... you shouldn’t feel that way about me.”His brows drew together, I saw confusion flickering in his eyes. “Why not?” “Because...” My voice broke, the truth clawing at my throat. “Because I’m just a maid... I’m nothing... and you’re... you’re...” His lips silenced my words, his kiss soft just like before, and reassuring. “You’re not nothing,” he whispered, while his forehead resting against mine. “You’re everything... everything I never knew I needed.” Letting my tears fell, with his words cutting through my soul. “How could he say such beautiful things? How could he make me feel so... loved?” But then like a flash Alpha Aiden’s face flashed in my mind, his possessive growl echoing in my ears. “You’re mine.” I pulled away, my heart breaking. “I... I can’t...” Asher’s face fell, his hands dropping to his sides. “Aria... what’s wrong?” I shook my head, my chest tight from confusion. “I’m sorry... I... I have to go.” I ran before he could stop me, my tears almost blurring my vision. “Why was I so weak? Why couldn’t I just choose him... choose the one who was gentle, and kind? Why did my heart ache for Aiden’s touch... for his fierce, possessive gaze? I was a coward. A fool. And I was hurting Asher... the one person who was kind to me. But my heart was torn... and I didn’t know how to fix it” --- Hi Dairy, it's day nine, and a terrible storm came that night, the sky darkening as rain poured down, lightning flashing across the sky. I stood outside, letting the cold water soak through my clothes, wash away my tears. I wanted to forget. To numb the pain tearing me apart. But his voice cut through the storm, cold, and furious. “What the hell are you doing out here?” I turned, my heart sinking. Aiden stood in the doorway, his eyes blazing with anger. “Are you trying to get sick?” I looked away, my chest tightening. “I... I wanted to be alone.” But he stepped closer, his jaw clenched. “You’re an idiot.” I flinched slightly, his words cutting deep as usual. Why can't he be gentle with words like his brother?. “I know.” His eyes narrowed, and his hand grabbing my arm. “You could die out here. Do you have any idea how cold it is?” I tried to pull away, but his grip was firm, his body shielding me from the rain. “Why do you care?” I whispered, my voice trembling. “You hate me... remember?” I watched his face hardened at my words, and his fingers digging into my skin. “You’re mine.”My breath caught, my heart racing at his words.
