Chapter 17 Self Reflect

Maya's POV I sat there on the edge of my bed, trying to clear my head of the recent happenings in the pack. James' prolonged absence from the pack had placed me in a tight spot in the pack. I had to stand in for him, carrying out the whole pack's activities, not just as a Luna but as an alpha. My heart pounded faster as I recalled the last letter that James sent to me. I tilted my head to look at the drawer on the other side of the room where I stored the letters, but was too lazy to get up to carry the letters.
